The first PEFC certified project with Stora Enso CLT

​​​​​​​Mäihä house build in connection to Finnish Housing Fair 2016 in Seinäjoki has been granted with PEFC project certificate. The house built with Stora Enso's CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) modules is the first PEFC certified project in the Nordic countries.

CLT modules by Stora Enso are built with wood from PEFC certified forests. The total amount of wood used in Mäihä house is 990 m3 including the frame, exterior claddings, other structures, built-in furniture and interiors.

The PEFC certificate was granted by DNV GL responsible for wood material audits during the whole project.
