LVL harnesses the power of Nordic spruce: it is an advanced massive wood product consisting of 3 mm veneers glued together. LVL is engineered to be relatively stronger than steel, yet lighter than concrete, while being highly workable and durable.
 
Today, LVL is powering a new wave of agile, renewable construction, and bringing home to us the everlasting wonder of wood. LVL has proven its value as the preferred choice for structural applications, from new build to repair.

LVL provides an ideal solution when strength, dimensional stability and high load-bearing capacity are essential, not forgetting the lightness and consistent quality. ​LVL can be used for large-scale construction elements as well as smaller, crafted components. From industrial to residential, high-rise buildings to homes, components and structural elements to studs, joists and beams.
 
LVL offers effortless handling and further processing options, and can be fully combined with other building materials. Stora Enso also sees huge potential for large-scale building solutions that are made in combination with CLT by Stora Enso (Cross Laminated Timber).
 
LVL by Stora Enso is CE marked and available in three grades

I​ntended for non-visual end usages. Standard LVL is delivered unsanded with a clear glue line on the top face. Calibration and optical sanding available on request.
​Adhesives
​LVL is consisting of multiple layers of veneers that are bonded together with brown phenolic resin. Top face veneer scarf joints are bonded with clear melamine-formaldehyde resin. LVL meets the formaldehyde emission class E1 according to standard EN 717-1.
